This exhibition gives a view on the broad range of contemporary art practices which are current in the Belgrade scene. Despite years of war and sufferings, this city has always maintained its dynamism and its love for culture and art.

 The prints presented in this exhibition are part of the permanent collection of the Gallery Atelier in Rome. This gallery was founded by Ljuba Jovicevic, who is currently living in Damascus.   From its very inception, Atelier has sought to open a new international path for the larger presentation and appreciation of artists from all over the world. 

 The authors  represented here are established artists from the internationally renowned Academy of Art of Belgrade.  They span different generations, use diverging graphic art techniques, and treat various subjects. At the same time, they are experimental and continually apply new and innovative methods.

 Their works are contemporary and traditional, figurative and abstract. Yet their art shares an intense sensibility, optimism, and joy of life.
